Black Keys Settle Infringement Lawsuits Against Pizza Hut n’ Home Depot

Akron native rock band, Black Keys, have finally reached a settlement over their infringed tracks – “Gold on the Ceiling” and “Lonely Boy” used in Pizza Hut and Home Depot’s commercials.

The infringement lawsuit was filed in June when the band felt that these two companies: Pizza Hut and Home Depot, copied their songs without a permission. Here’s the full story.

Long story short, the band’s attorneys told a Los Angeles federal judge on Monday (11/26/12) that they had reached an agreement with both Pizza Hut and Home Depot. No details of either settlement were included in the court filings, and neither company has made a statement regarding the settlement. Reports the Associated Press.
