This is a really cool gear. Antares Mic Mod EFX is one of those software that you just GOT to have around your homemade and or else self-made studio you record at.
It was first introduced back in 2000 and won that year’s TEC Award for Outstanding Technical Achievement in Software Signal Processing. What it does is pretty simple: change the microphone you are using to the microphone you want to use without a trip to the nearest music store for a new mic.
Now the Mics You Own Can Sound Like the Mics You Wish You Owned
Its built-in with well over 125 microphone models. Which gives you a load choices of mic to choose from without buying a new microphone. Another cool thing about Antares Mic Mod EFX is that; you can even use it for your live shows, and during mixdown to effectively change the mic on an already recorded track.
From its website: … Not only do the models reproduce all of the subtle sonic characteristics that make each microphone unique, but they also give you control of each mic’s specific options. Does the mic have a low cut filter? If so, it’s in the model. Wind screen on or off? Close or far placement? Each option results in the same sonic effect that it would have with the actual modeled mic. And for that final touch of perfection, you can even add some tasty tube saturation.
Here are some of its features:
- Over 125 Microphone Models
- Classic Microphone Plug-in
- Use It in Live Performances
- Control Each Microphone’s Specific Options
- Tube Saturation
- and many many more…
